Solingen, 19. Juni 2021 – zum zwölften Mal in Folge honoriert die REO AG drei herausragende schulische Leistungen im Fachbereich Physik mit dem REO Physikus-Preis. Im Rahmen der alljährlichen Abitur-Abschlussfeier wurden die Preisträger am Gymnasium Schwertstraße in Solingen geehrt.
„Menschen, die soziales Engagement und Streben nach neuem Wissen in sich vereinen, sind ein Garant für eine gute Zukunft unserer Gesellschaft. Dieser Preis soll ihnen eine Bestätigung für ihre bisherigen Leistungen sein und gleichzeitig ein Ansporn, ihren Weg weiterzugehen.“, sagt Vorstandsmitglied Jasminka Usein und führt an: „Motivation und Wertschätzung für die Leistungen junger Menschen sind gerade vor dem Hintergrund der Corona-Pandemie besonders wichtig. Daher war es uns eine Herzensangelegenheit unseren Beitrag zu leisten und auch in diesem Jahr Schülerinnen und Schüler für die faszinierende Welt der Physik zu begeistern.“
Der REO Physikus-Preis wird zum zwölften Mal an drei Abiturienten des Gymnasiums Schwertstraße in Solingen verliehen. Dieses Jahr wurden für ihre außerordentlichen Errungenschaften im Leistungskurs Physik geehrt:
Johannes Schüle, Physikus in Gold
Karsten Römling, Physikus in Silber
Alexander Wallrodt, Physikus in Bronze
Die REO AG setzt sich mit der Verleihung des REO Physikus-Preises für den lokalen Nachwuchs an ihrem Hauptsitz in Solingen ein. Denn auch die REO AG ist als weltweit agierender Hersteller von elektrotechnischen und elektronischen Geräten und Systemen auf Nachwuchs-Fachkräfte angewiesen. Jasminka Usein: „Wir arbeiten eng mit Universitäten zusammen, ob in Berlin oder Wuppertal. Darüber hinaus sind wir allerdings auch traditionell unterwegs und bilden jedes Jahr mehrere junge Menschen zu Elektroniker: innen für Betriebstechnik bzw. zu Industriekaufleuten aus. Bis heute konnten wir jedem Auszubildenden nach Beendigung der Ausbildung eine feste Anstellung ermöglichen. So bekleiden viele unserer ehemaligen Auszubildenden heute leitende Positionen, sowohl an unserem Hauptsitz in Solingen als auch in unseren anderen Werken in Berlin, Hennigsdorf, Kyritz und Pfarrkirchen. Auch wenn manche nach ihrer abgeschlossenen Ausbildung eine universitäre Laufbahn einschlagen, sind sie bekanntlich nie ganz weg. Bei REO steht ihnen als künftige Nachwuchskräfte für den Bereich Forschung und Entwicklung die Türe immer offen. Wenn das keine Motivation ist!“
